First Referee Cup sponsor!

After long and tough negotiations (“Do you have some Euro for us?”), “Bernie’s Burger Bude” from Lueneburg referee colleague Michael Bernstorf supports the Referee Cup. In the 90s, Michael himself was active as a referee at the tournament.
SV Eintracht thanks for the sponsorship and reveals that you can get his fantastic burgers at EDEKA Mues, Am Alten Landhaus in Deutsch Evern – every Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.!

Promotion!!!

District Referee chairman Berthold Fedtke, who is retiring at the end of the season, conveyed great news to Eintracht’s top referee Celina Boehm: in the coming season she will officiate matches in the men’s 6th league. The Eintracht referees warmly congratulate you and always wish you the right whistle at the right time – keep it up!

Video conference of the organizers

The planning for the 2021 Referee Cup cannot be stopped by a pandemic either: the current situation was discussed at a video conference. The appointment June 26th/27th, 2021 is initially set.
If all of the amateur football in the region has to play by the end of June 2021 or even longer, then the organizers will rethink the tournament date – also depending on commitments from distant regions and related hotel and flight bookings that have been received by then. Information on this will always be up-to-date on this homepage.

Oha – what a guest

1991 + 1993 at the Referee Cup: Björn Kuipers (Netherlands)

Thanks to Corona, you also have time to look at old player lists from past referee cups. In 1991, the Noord-Oost Twente Referee Association from the Netherlands brought an 18-year-old young referee with him, who later became one of the best referees in the world: Björn Kuipers from Oldenzaal reached the final with his team and was defeated by the Referee Association from the Soviet Union with then current FIFA and 1st division referees in a really high class final with 1:4.
In 1993 the multiple World Cup, Euro, CL, EL referee was again a guest in Lüneburg with the team from the Dutch border region.

Appointment to the talent squad

Kilian Sieper

After the merger of the three districts of Lueneburg, Uelzen and Luechow-Dannenberg, the local Referee Committee decided to install a talent squad with around ten young colleagues between the ages of 15 and 20 to promote young talents. The squad is headed by none other than former FIFA Referee Assistant Carsten Kadach from Suderburg. A talent from SV Eintracht was also nominated: 15-year-old Kilian Sieper made it into the squad with good performances. We congratulate!

Workshop as kick-off for 2021

Lots of discussion, smoking heads, satisfied and determined faces at the end: under the direction of the consultant Claudia Reinpold (Reinpold Berufsarchitekturen – www.berufsarchitekturen.de -) the organization team of the Referee Cup 2021 spent a whole Saturday in February in Hamburg and worked out that concept for the 15th tournament in June 2021 – and if possible for the following events in the coming years.
We look forward to 2021 – and to our guests!
